Wheat futures at the Chicago Board of Trade were mostly lower at midsession on Tuesday on technical weakness and a slow pace of US wheat exports, traders said. But a surge in corn helped lift wheat off its early lows.
As of 11:15 am CST (1715 GMT), CBOT December wheat was unchanged at $4.77 per bushel, after trading in a range from $4.70 to $4.79-3/4. Deferred contracts were up 3 cents to down 5 cents. Man Financial sold 400 December, traders said.
