The Lahore High Court (LHC) has on Tuesday issued notices for December 5 to district government and Deputy Inspector General of Traffic Police in a petition filed against the action of lifting vehicles from different places of the city and fined them for wrong parking.

He said that it is a clear violation of Motor Vehicle Ordinance. He also said the respondent also lifted vehicles illegally, as they neither issued any warning nor informed the owners.
"The respondent even lifted vehicles parked outside the owners' offices and houses. The action of the respondent is illegal and without lawful authority," he added.
He, therefore, prayed the court to restrain the respondents from lifting the vehicles illegally. He also prayed the court to restrain the respondents from plying illegal lifters on the roads. The court after hearing the petitioner counsel at length issued notices to the respondents for December 5.
