BRIndex30 registers marginal gain

The BRIndex30 opened at 11,386.01 with a positive gap of 71.32 points on Wednesday and closed at 11,315.76, registered an upward change of 1.07 points, or 0.01 percent, with the intra-day high of 11,523.68 and low of 11,299.06.
The volume amounted to 133,915,200, which was 81.01 percent of market total and 90.99 percent of KSE-100 index. The volume of KSE All Share was 165,287,360 shares and that of KSE-100 was 147,167,440.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the most active sector. It closed at 4,327.95 with a net positive change of 10.33, and percentage change of 0.24. The turnover for this sector was 56,477,800.
BR Tech. & Comm. Index was the second most active sector. It closed at 1,409.86 with a net upward change of 10.89 and percentage change of 0.78. The volume of this sector was 28,968,400. BR Oil and Gas Index was the third most active sector. It closed at 2,071.56 with a net negative change of -12.72 and percentage change of -0.61. The volume was 21,827,400.
BR Cement Index closed at 1,331.00 with a net negative change of -33.29 and percentage change of -2.44. Its volume was 13,731,600. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,052.67 with an upward change of 2.15 and percentage change of 0.20. The turnover for this sector was 2,129,000.
