A clip on one of the TV channels, a few days before West Indies tour began, showing the Doc, medicine man top-slotting the Pakistan Cricket Board, in his jogging gear lapping the Gaddafi Stadium without breaking a sweat, while our cricketers practiced at the nets.
Sure, made for good viewing with, maybe a sublime message to the players to work on their physical fitness. The Doc sure displayed he is into fitness regime and practices what he preaches.
As sublime that fitness message maybe, was the 'logo-emblazoned' Doc's sporting gear a harbinger of the players' newest clothing gear sponsor? Will our cricketers be 'just doing it'? Is it fair to the present sponsors and others who might be bidding for rights to clothe our cricketers in future? Was it blatant? Nah... Was it obvious? Nah... Doc, 'discretion is a better part of valour.'
