The Corporate Crime Circle of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) raided the CD stores in Raja Bazar for copyright violations and for producing pirated software materials here on Saturday. The FIA arrested five persons besides it sealed three CD stores and impounded CD and cassette copiers and thousands of pirated CDs.
Taking serious note of the piracy and violation of copy right-act in the country, the FIA started raiding different markets to check the sale of pirated software and movie CDs.
The Agency raided the Imperial Market of Raja Bazar, a main hub of pirated and copied CDs. They sealed three big CD stores namely, CD Land, Sh Ghaffar CDs and Sh Hameed CDs and arrested five persons. The FIA team also impounded 10 CDs duplicators and 10 cassette duplicators, besides confiscating thousands of CDs worth millions of rupees.
