Two medical stores sealed in Islamabad

Two medical stores in posh areas of the federal capital were sealed on Saturday for violating different provisions of Drug Act, 1976. The stores were raided by Drug Inspector Sardar Shabbir Ahmed in line with the Drug Act, 1976.
Raids were conducted in F-8 Markaz and G-7 Markaz, where tranquillisers were recovered from the Al-Faiz, Medical Store whereas Kohsar Medical Store was sealed for selling foreign drugs without import documents. Behria Pharmacy operating in F-8 Markaz has been warned to improve its functioning.
Meanwhile, FIR has also been lodged against one Tanveer Gul Toor in the jurisdiction of Shehzad Town Police Station for obstructing the Drug Inspector in exercise of his powers.
