UVAS seminar on fish farming from November 27

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore is arranging an international conference on "Solving problems of freshwater fish farming in Pakistan" on November 27 and 28.
Punjab Governor Lieutenant General Khalid Maqbool (Retd) will be the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the moot being arranged by the UVAS Faculty of Fisheries and Wildlife in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission, British Council Lahore, Agricultural Foundation of Pakistan and the Bank of Punjab.
UVAS Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Manzoor Ahmad will present the welcome address, while British Council Director Iftikhar Elahi, Agriculture Foundation President Dr Saeed Ahmad and Dr Muhammad Nazir Bhatti, Chief Technical Resource Person of the conference will also address the inaugural ceremony.
Fisheries experts from across the country and abroad will present technical papers in the two-day moot. The conference is aimed at providing a common forum to all categories of stakeholders involved in the fisheries industry.
It will also provide an opportunity to have inputs and suggestions of the fisheries experts on the formulation of curriculum and syllabus for the newly proposed four-years BSc (Hons.) degree programme in fisheries and aqua-culture at the UVAS, Lahore.
