All Pakistan Pulp Paper and Board Mills Association and Recycle Paper Manufacturing Association have unanimously announced 10 to 15 percent increase in prices of paper. The decision was taken at a joint meeting of the two associations held here on Friday.
The meeting decided that due to non-availability of raw material and increase in price of waste paper and weed stock, the hike in the price of paper was unavoidable. With the fresh increase, the price of paper being sold at Rs 40 per kilogram will soar to Rs 44 per kg or from Rs 40,000 per ton to Rs 44,000 per ton.
Similarly the type of paper earlier sold at Rs 25 per kg will swell to Rs 30 per kg ie from Rs 25,000 per ton to Rs 30,000 per ton.
