BRIndex30 falls

On Monday, the BRIndex30 remained in the red zone for the whole trading time. It opened at 11,181.14 with a downward jump gap of 122.78 points. It closed at 11,053.39 with a net negative change of -250.53 or -2.22 percent. It saw intra-day high of 11,209.46 and intra-day low of 11,033.62.
The volume amounted to 75,819,000, which was 64.95 percent of the total market and 93.10 percent of the KSE-100 index. The volume of both the KSE All Share and the KSE-100 were 116,720,040 and 81,430,940, respectively.
BR Tech. & Comm. Index was the third most active sector. It closed at 1,401.08 with a downward change of -15.78 and percentage change of -1.11. The volume of this sector was 9,083,900.
BR Cement Index closed with a turnover of 8,199,300. It saw a fall of -28.59 or -2.17 percent, closing at 1,291.52. BR Commercial Banks Index was the most active sector. It closed at 4,264.83 with a net negative change of -102.56 and percentage change of -2.35. The turnover for this sector was 47,399,200.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,053.64 with a positive change of 2.63 or 0.25 percent. The turnover for this sector was 2,234,000, which was again the lowest among BRIndices. BR Oil and Gas Index was the second most active sector with a turnover of 21,080,600. It closed at 2,017.24 with a net negative change of -40.93 or -1.99 percent.
