Special gain tax on 13 leading brokers proposed

One of the members of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Finance suggested to levy 'special gain tax' on the 13 leading brokers, who were allegedly involved in the last year's stock market crash.
Member National Assembly Ghulam Murtaza Satti told reporters on Tuesday that the government should levy the special gain tax on these brokers and the recovered amount should be distributed among the victims of the March-crisis.
Millions of small and medium investors were affected during the stock market crisis, which need compensation. Member National Assembly Naveed Qamar said that we are totally disappointed after reviewing the report of the forensic investigators, as the foreign expert did not properly investigated the whole scam.
