Children celebrate gala at Shaukat Khanum hospital

The Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre organised an Eid Milan party for children suffering from cancer. Cured and under treatment children along with their parents, eminent people from showbiz and other walks of life largely participated in this function.
Versatile film personality Reema Khan was special guest on this occasion. Hospital children presented musical drama, na'ats and other colourful programmes and received big applause from the audience.
Dr Adeeba Quddus, the organiser of the event thanked the participants and the donors who made this event a great success.
Dr Samina Mansoor, acting medical director while addressing the participants said that such programmes were aimed at building confidence in children. "This hospital organises such events regularly so that the children should not consider them patients only but also an active member of our society," she said.
Reema said on the occasion that she was thankful to hospital management who provided her this opportunity to attend this unique programme. She appreciated the efforts of the hospital, especially the spirit and dedication of doctors and other staff for providing standard treatment to cancer patients. She urged the people to help this hospital generously as this hospital was rendering valuable services for a noble cause. Well known pop singers Arif Lohar and Sohail Salamat also performed on this occasion and enthralled the participants.
