A tree plantation campaign will be started in all industrial estates of the Punjab where more than 500,000 trees will be planted. This was told by Punjab Industries, Commerce and Investment Minister Muhammad Ajmal Cheema while talking to a delegation of businessmen for the textile industry sector.
According to a spokesman of Industries department, the minister while talking to the delegation said trees not only enhance beauty of the Nature, but are also valuable and useful against environmental pollution.
The minister said there is shortage of trees in Pakistan and the private sector along with NGOs should complement the government's efforts to increase plantation and make the tree plantation campaign successful. He said they should take care of trees like children and every one should try to make the plantation drive truly successful.
