Rs six million worth gold recovered

The Pakistan Customs intercepted a person and recovered gold worth Rs 6 million at Jinnah Terminal on late Tuesday night. A Customs official told Business Recorder that the staff of Preventive Collectorate had intercepted a person, Abdul Rehman, who arrived from Dubai by PIA flight PK208 and recovered five kilograms gold from his possession.
The official said that the person concealed the gold in the pockets of his trousers worn underneath another trouser. The baggage of the person examined thoroughly but nothing found objectionable from his luggage. The body search of the passenger resulted in the recovery of five kilograms gold in the shape of slabs. A FIR lodged against the person and further investigation was under process, the official said.
