'Hospital administration needs to be proactive and realistic'

Experts inaugurating a workshop on health administration have stressed the need for managers to be proactive and make realistic use of the limited resources the local context.
"Realism is crucial. There are major reforms taking place in the health care sector globally. Our existence has to be in context taking our limited resources into account," said Dr Farhat Abbas, Medical Director AKU at the inaugural session of the workshop.
The 3-day workshop titled "Strategic Planning and Performance Management" (SPP-M) was organised by the Depar-tment of Community Health Sciences, Department of Medicine and Medical Director's Office at AKU from November 22 to 24.-PR
