Carpeting and construction of Main Bazaar of Gari Shahu Bazaar has been completed in a short span of two months at a cost of Rs 5.9 million and ready for inauguration. On this project, 1200 Sq feet area has been covered for construction while fancy lights are being arranged.
One portion of Garhi Shahu Bazaar would be converted into "Food Street", also. Proper construction of footpaths in this bazaar is also an important feature of this scheme. This work was initiated by the Gulberg Town Administration while Minister Information Technology Abdul Aleem Khan played main role for its completion in two months.
This project came into reality with the co-operation of Anjuman Tajran whose President Khalifa Anjum and the shopkeepers voluntarily agreed to remove the encroachments.
