Deputy High Commissioner of the United Kingdom (UK), Simon Butt has said that it is a great opportunity for the students of Pakistan to get admissions in the UK as about 60 British higher education institutions are here to provide them information about the admissions.
"It is desire of everyone to study in prestigious and quality educational institutions and this exhibition would help Pakistani students to select the institution of their choice in UK", Simon Butt said while opening a one-day Education UK exhibition held in a local hotel here on Friday.
About 60 universities of UK have set up stalls to provide information to Pakistani students about their admission policies and other opportunities.
The Exhibition was jointly organised by British High Commission and British Council. Thousands of students from different educational institutions of Rawalpindi visited the exhibition and showed their interest in getting admissions in the universities of UK.
British diplomat said that British Government was desirous of establishing higher education partnership between the UK and other countries. This exhibition, he said, would provide an opportunity to educational institutions of the UK and Pakistan to build close partnership, besides helping students to get quality higher education in UK.
