LHCBA condemns detention of Dr Qadeer

The Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) while condemning detention of Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan has called upon the government to release him forthwith unconditionally to enable him to get proper medical treatment.
A resolution to this effect was unanimously adopted in a meeting of the bar held with its president Israrul Haq Main in the chair, here on Friday. The resolution was tabled by former president of the bar Fakharunnisa Khokhar.
The bar members while addressing the meeting said that General Musharraf is running the state affairs without taking the parliament and cabinet into confidence on vital national issues. 'Wrong policies of General Musharraf have damaged the country's image, they said.
