Punjab University vice-chancellor Arshad Mahmood has directed for early completion of construction projects at Gujranwala campus so that more academic disciplines start functioning.
According to a press release, he said this during his visit to Gujranwala campus on Thursday. Director General Gujranwala campus Dr Liaqat Ali and Project Director Sheikh Muhammad Ali were also present on the occasion.
Arshad said keeping in view the government educational policy to provide educational facilities at the doorsteps, PU is now establishing its sub-campus at Jhelum, he added.
Meanwhile, the vice-chancellor visited the land allotted for Jhelum sub-campus. District Nazim Jhelum Chaudhary Farrukh Altaf, DCO Jhelum and officials of education department were also present on the occasion. District Nazim Chaudhry Farrukh Altaf assured his complete support to the vice-chancellor and asked for earlier opening of the sub-campus.-PR
