Appeal to ICJ

27 Nov, 2006

After many shocking news comes yet another one ie the results of Saddam Hussain's trial. The world is perhaps losing its way and people are losing faith all over the world that goodness and fair-play can still prevail.
At lot of courts in the world have lost credibility and the United Nations is, at least toothless. ICJ is one organisation that sits aloof and away from it all and therefore I choose to write to you to take some kind of an international notice and correct the situation.
Whatever the outcome of the trials held by you will be more acceptable to the world than the trials conducted by the victors who have so far been unable to unearth even the 'weapons of mass destruction' though reportedly 2.6 million Iraqi's have died due to violent causes in the short period of last 2 years, what to speak of a few Kurds, etc. We wish there be at least one standard bearer for justice.
Saddam Hussain may not be an angel but who is in today's power politics and we all know that the 1919 treaty of Versailles was counter productive.
I am an ordinary citizen and feel that my appeal will be taken in the correct perspective that we all need peace and co-existence for all nations irrespective of religious followed.
