Forensic investigation

28 Nov, 2006

The forensic investigation is an integral part of the medical jurisprudence in which intensive examinations, autopsy and pathological tests, including DNA (if and where necessary) are carried out with perfection to determine the cause and the culprit.
The forensic mode of investigation applied in the case of KSE's market crash of March/05, by foreign consultant at lucrative terms to determine the causes and the culprits was a false start by all cogent reasons. Thus the end report was inconclusive and disappointing.
However, it is a common believe that the crash was caused through wicked manipulations and violation of trading regulations by a few stalwarts in tacit collaboration with some dubious officials. This is therefore, a clear violation of law of the land and hence, a crime by all legal definition.
Consequently, this case must be re-investigated thoroughly, this time by NAB and Criminology Department of Karachi University soon with the objective to nab the culprits and provide justice to thousands of small investors robbed over-night.
Additionally, they should also conduct criminal proceedings against PLCs under suspension list. So that the sufferings of millions of investors since the 80's are duly ameliorated as was done in the case of co-op. scam.
