Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 70,501 tonnes of cargo including 54,986 tonnes import, 15,515 tonnes export cargo and 4,166 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 69,801 tonnes dry cargo including 50,325 tonnes general cargo; 13,200 tonnes coal; 3,751 tonnes rapeseed; 2,525 tonnes rice 19,476 tonnes bulk cargo and 700 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Seven ships namely Norasia Alps, Ever Guide, Wan Hai 301, Swat, Dream Beauty, Guan He Kuo and Afea sailed out to sea during the report period.
Seven vessels viz Gulf Bridge, LTC Calvin P Titus, Conti Express, Dream Beauty, Induruwa Valley, Mariupol and Rising One are currently at the berths. Two ships namely Gulf Bridge and LTC Calvin P. Titus expected to sail on Tuesday, while two vessels viz Rising One and Conti Express are expected to sail on Wednesday.
Three vessels viz Chemstar Duke, APL Osaka and MAC Aandresew Swala due to arrive on Tuesday, while two ships namely Shamrock Moon and Hyundai Advance are due to arrive on Wednesday.

The cargo comprised of 20,746 tonnes iron ore; 9,346 tonnes seeds; 2,930 tonnes rice; and 72,700 tonnes containerised cargo. Two ships namely CV MSC Austria and CV Sinar Bontang sailed out to sea during the report period, during last 24 hours. A total of six vessels viz Xiang Wan, Sealand Voyager, Al-Maqwa, Rose Anne, Captain George-I and Kimberly are currently at the outer anchorage. Three ships namely CV Sealand Voyager, MT Al-Maqwa and MT Rose Anne due to take berths on Tuesday.
Two ships namely MT Samho Heron and MV BBC Finladia with edible oil and general cargo are due to arrive on Tuesday, while three more ships namely CV Thuringia Express, CV ACX Plumeria and MV Legiony Poliskie with containers and seeds are due to arrive on Wednesday.
