State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) in collaboration with Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) on Wednesday introduced the new currency notes of denomination rupees 10, 20, 100, 500 and 5,000 respectively before the business community of the city.
In this connection a function was held at Chamber House was attended by a large number of industrialists, traders and people from different segment of the business community attended. Chief Manager, SBP Peshawar, Mohammad Hamayun Khan and currency officer, Ehsanullah Khan gave the presentation through multi-media and usage of different electric appliances.
They were told that the paper used in the new currency notes has water marked, different colour of ink, protective thread, green and blue areas. Braille paper has been used in the currency notes for its identification by blinds.
