Mustafa visits Hinopak to inspect CNG buses

City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal visited Hinopak Motors Limited, the largest manufacturer of trucks and buses in the country. The aim of the visit was to discuss the induction of locally made CNG buses in Karachi to tackle the chronic traffic problem.
In this regard, he held a meeting with the top management of Hinopak and discussed ways and means for early start of CNG buses in the city. Hinopak on this occasion showed the first locally made CNG bus with dedicated CNG engine and showed their readiness to support the city government for early operations of CNG buses.
Hinopak Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Keiji Maeda briefed the role being played by Hinopak Motors Limited for the local transport industry and its efforts in promoting safe and efficient transportation system in Pakistan.
He further added that by introducing the locally made CNG bus by Hinopak we believed it would benefit the nation in long run by saving precious foreign exchange spent on import of fuel as well as reducing pollution in the city.
Sales and Marketing Director M. Irfan Shaikh in his briefing said that we were grateful to the CDGK for providing enormous support to the transport sector by improving the infrastructure of Karachi.
On this occasion, the Nazim also inspected the locally made refuse vans on Hino FG1J chassis and Sludge carriers on Hino FM1J chassis, which are part of a total order of 41 units from CDGK being produced for disposal of city's solid waste. These vehicles will be delivered to CDGK much before the contracted period.-PR
