The Supreme Court of Pakistan has directed police to confirm the authenticity of Nikha Nama of a councillor, Bashir, with his housemaid. The court had taken suo motu notice against Bashir for molesting her housemaid Somaila.
He produced the copy of Nikha Nama with Somaila before the court but the apex court directed the police to confirm the same and submit a detailed report before the court on next date of hearing.
