Musharraf asks youth to demonstrate patriotism

President General Pervez Musharraf has asked the youth to demonstrate patriotism and prepare themselves to shoulder the responsibilities of future challenges at national and international fronts.
He was talking to a debating team from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) of Engineering Sciences and Technology, which called on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr on Wednesday. The team recently won India-Pakistan debating competition organised by Sri Venkateswara College of University of Delhi.
The debating competition was participated by the best debating teams from both Pakistan and India. President Musharraf appreciated the efforts and hard work by the debating team and reposed full confidence in the talent of Pakistani youth who are fully capable to face any challenge and excel in all fields of life. He said that youth are greater reservoir of creativity, energy and initiative of dynamism and social renewal.
The team from GIKI won the debating competition after defeating Ramjas College Delhi, the best debating team from India, by a margin of 7-0. Imaad Rashid, captain of the GIKI team was declared as the best speaker and Waqar Nayyar was the second best speaker of the competition.
