NBP president rewards Yousuf

Chairman & President, National Bank of Pakistan, S Ali Raza who is also a member of PCB ad hoc committee has congratulated Mohammad Yousuf and the entire Pakistan Cricket Team for the record breaking performance of Mohammed Yousuf and has announced an award of Rs 250,000 for Mohammad Yousuf.
Yousuf, who also played for NBP, has broken the record of maximum number of runs in test matches in a calendar year which was held by the West Indian legend Viv Richards who had scored 1710 runs in test matches during 1976.
Yousuf has scored 1788 runs in Test matches played by him during 2006. It is interesting to note that both Yousuf and Richards played 19 innings in 11 Tests to achieve their respective record of breaking feats. Another milestone achieved by Yousuf during 2006, is the number of centuries scored in a calendar year with nine centuries surpassing the record of seven centuries held jointly by Viv Richards and Arvinda de Silva.-PR
