Cardinal principles

02 Dec, 2006

From time immemorial, people in authority had always advocated two cardinal principles:
a) Speedy justice and
b) Inexpensive justice
Likewise, all the three functionaries of our government - the executive, the legislature and the judiciary - promise to ensure the same but unfortunately the ground realities belie their wishful desires - all because of huge gap that exists between preaching and practising and lack of will to conclude a case.
I am too a victim of a four year plus pending criminal case and though it appears almost on the verge of closure, yet seems so far and away.
May the concerned authorities look into the same to mitigate such incidents so as to bring the innocent people back in the mainstream of their economic life.
