Reduction in sectarian violence

03 Dec, 2006

Has anybody noticed tat after the beating of Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan Army action against local Taliban and al Qaeda the sectarian violence in the country has been drastically reduced and now the minority sects feel more safe than before.
Remember 1991 is still considered the worst year of sectarian violence in Pakistan history when Taliban were on top in Afghanistan and Pakistan Government was also on their side or was not taking action against them. This tempo has to be maintained if the country wants to get rid of sectarian violence it had experienced n the past.
I want to appreciate the role of those officers and jawans of Pakistan Army who gave their lives in the live of duty of beating back extremist elements and Taliban.
