An earthquake on Sumbawa island in eastern Indonesia overnight has damaged houses and injured 14 people, a health official said on Saturday. Rustam Pakaya, head of the health ministry's crisis centre said emergency officials were searching the area and the injured were treated in a hospital in Bima, a town in the eastern part of Sumbawa in West Nusa Tenggara province.
Suwarto, an analyst at Indonesia's Geology and Meteorology agency said the quake struck just after 10 pm (1400 GMT) on Friday and was of a moderate magnitude of 5.8.
