Rates were modestly changed in the wholesale commodity markets where changes were comparatively lower than the previous week, showing supplies were by and large smooth during the week ended on December 2, 2006.
Changes were in teas, plastic mouldings, masoor Canada, and Australia, Mexipak wheat and guwar.
THE TEAS FROM KENYA (PER KG) CLOSED GENERALLY LOWER ON THE JODIA BAZAR: Such as PF-1 A grade shed Rs 4 to Rs 196, B grade finished down by Rs 8 to Rs 184, plus C grade closed down by Rs 12 to Rs 168, and C grade ended lower by Rs 10 to Rs 160. BP-1 A1 grade ended lower by Rs 5 to Rs 195, B grade finished lower by Rs 3 to Rs 178, plus C grade down Rs 2 to Rs 115, D-1 grade finished lower by Rs 12 to Rs 213, B grade shed Rs 9 to Rs 205, plus C grade finished lower by Rs 10 to Rs 190 and C grade retreated by Rs 7 to Rs 185, Dust A grade finished lower by Rs 4 to Rs 158, and B grade lost Rs 4 to Rs 158 and B grade lost Rs 7 to Rs 135.
On the commodities wholesale market gram garda Punjab was up by Rs 100 to Rs 3300 and better type quoted at Rs 3400, gram dal Punjab turned higher by Rs 100 to Rs 4000 and better type quoted higher at Rs 4100, yellow peas Canada low type went higher by Rs 20 to Rs 1610, and better type gained Rs 10 to Rs 1690, yellow peas dal Canada turned lower by Rs 20 to Rs 1780 and better was quoted at Rs 1850 beetle chana I retreated by Rs 50 to Rs 3450 and better type quoted at Rs 3550, beetle 50x50 turned lower by Rs 100 to Rs 3300 and better type quoted at Rs 3400 dal beetle shed Rs 50 to Rs 3950 and better type quoted at Rs 4050. Cotton cakes with bag finished lower by Rs 20 to Rs 690 and be better type quoted higher at Rs 700.

Changes elsewhere only a few were mixed marked such as in masoor Australia and Canada shed Rs 25 to Rs 2800 and better type quoted at Rs 2900, and wheat Mexipak old and new both suffered Rs 5 to Rs 1205 while other type was quoted at Rs 12.20.
On Tuesday Kirana items were on the declining side. Black pepper from Singapore retreated by Rs 200 to Rs 6,400 (per 40 kg), black pepper from Ceylon closed lower by Rs 200, to Rs 6000, black pepper from Brazil down by Rs 500 to Rs 6300, big cardamom ended down Rs 200 to Rs 8800, cloves ended lower by Rs 1000 to Rs 11000, dry ginger finished lower by Rs 200, to Rs 3800 and Isbaghol bhoosi ended lower by Rs 500 to Rs 12,000. Elsewhere gram garda Punjab shed Rs 100 to Rs 3200 and better type quoted at Rs 3300, gram dal garda lost Rs 8200, to Rs 3800 and better type quoted at Rs 3900, yellow peas Canada inferior finished lower by Rs 10 to Rs 1600, and better type lost Rs 25 to Rs 1675, beetle chana I sharply lower by Rs 250 to Rs 3200 and better Rs 3350, 50x50 lost Rs 250 to Rs 3050 and better type was quoted at Rs 3150, dal beetle low type lost Rs 100 to Rs 3850 while the better quality was quoted at Rs 3950 at gained Rs 50 bajra was quoted at Rs 1075 and 1300.
On Wednesday on the wholesale commodity side, the guwar inferior type gave in substantially by Rs 50 to Rs 1700 and better type however lost Rs 25 to Rs 1900.
On Thursday and cereals side, masoor dal turned lower by Rs 200 to Rs 3400, Urad Burma also went down Rs 20 to Rs 1580 and better type quoted at Rs 1680, barley from Sindh and Mardan closed lower by Rs 25 to Rs 1150, wheat Mexipak closed higher by Rs 15 to Rs 1220 and better type quoted at Rs 1225, gram garda Punjab quoted inferior down to Rs 3075 and better quoted down at Rs 3175, yellow peas Canada inferior type lost Rs 15 to Rs 1585, better type quoted by Rs 75 to Rs 1600, yellow peas Canada shed Rs 40 to Rs 1740 and better shed Rs 50 to Rs 1800, beetle Chana I lost Rs 25 to Rs 3225 and better type quoted at Rs 3325, and better type quoted at Rs 3125 bajra better type gained Rs 100 to Rs 4050 while the other type stayed put at Rs 3950, cotton cakes with bag higher by Rs 10 to Rs 680 and better type quoted at Rs 690. On Jodia Bazar raw rubber Ceylon (per lb) RSSV closed lower by Rs 3 to Rs 57 and Pale Crape TPC 3 was quoted at Rs 57, Latex Semnan Tex closed lower by Rs 30 to Rs 350 and Thai (GT) closed lower by Rs 30 to Rs 350.
ON FRIDAY JB HAD FOLLOWING CHANGES: Skimmed milk powder (per bag of 25 kg) Haleeb SMP closed higher at Rs 600 to Rs 4300, Poland up by Rs 200 to Rs 2500, Golden Burger higher by Rs 1150 to Rs 6000 and Irish skimmed was steady at Rs 4900.
Elsewhere on the commodity wholesale markets bajra stayed away to see price turn to return. On Saturday sharp change was seen in the rate of guwar better type which turned lower by Rs 75.
