Emirates the largest Arab airline, said on November 29 that it was confident there would be no further delays to deliveries of its A380 aircraft following an audit of planemaker Airbus.
"We don't see any reason why there should be a delay beyond what we were promised," Emirates Executive Vice Chairman Maurice Flanagan told reporters on the sidelines of the Future of Air Transport conference in London.
Flanagan said he expected the airline to take delivery of the first A380 in August 2008. He said Emirates was confident in Airbus' new management structure and seeking compensation for delays was a "secondary consideration."
The Dubai government-owned carrier had been reviewing its order for 43 of Airbus' new A380 aircraft after a delivery delay of almost two years. Flanagan's comments followed an audit by the airline of Airbus.
