Lahore receives intermittent rain

Provincial metropolis has received light intermittent rain throughout the day on Monday, which has brought down the mercury by 6 Celsius degrees and set the winter in, while more scattered rain was expected during the next 24 hours.
The rain, which started in the morning continued, till the filing of this report. According to a meteorological official, in the last 12 hours city received around 4 mm of downpour. It has noticeably decreased the temperature of the city; the maximum temperature recorded was 17 Celsius while the minimum temperature was 13 Celsius.
They forecast cloudy weather and chances of scattered rain/thunderstorm in the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, the city witnessed the first real taste of winter. The people were wrapped in warm clothing and avoided outside activities. The city remained gloomy all day and the drizzling slowed the commercial activities, while traffic moved at a snail peace on wet roads.
