'Karachi offers unmatched investment opportunities'

City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has said the city has huge number of investment opportunities as the city government will provide all necessary facilities to the investors.
Besides this, the round-the-clock work of revamping and development of city is in full swing. Due to the city government efforts, the huge capital of US $900 million would be invest in the city soon. This he was stated while talking with Pakistan origin member of Houston City Council, M.J. Khan. He was called on City Nazim in his office the other day.
The City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal told that the City District Government Karachi in the record one-year time duration has started various development projects to develop the city on modern lines. "The projects of revamping network of water and sewerage old and dilapidated network, construction of flyovers, roads, underpass and others have been started to facilitate the citizens. The development process would be continued and the city government will also initiate more projects in future to facilitate investors", he said.
He further informed that the city's first ever Master Plan have been prepared and it will be made legal document in this month as in the past no any single government taking this seriously for the city of over 18 million population. "We have started all development projects on a clear vision as all the ongoing development schemes are part of the Master Plan. After the approval of Master Plan from City Council, all scattered matter in the city would be regularised and also give city's look as modern city of the world", he said.
The Nazim Mustafa Kamal said the Karachi is a hub of this region and the investors would also be benefited to invest their capital in this city besides others.
"The agreements with various multinational companies have been inked to invest US $900 million in the city. The city government with the private partnership will construct Elevated Express, 47-storey IT Tower and other mega projects in the metropolis as Federation Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and other associations of businessmen and industries also working besides these companies", he mentioned.
He also informed the ground breaking ceremony for 47-story IT Tower would be held next month besides the starting of other mega projects. He further asked to take necessary arrangements to make Karachi a sister city of Houston and the city government will welcome Pakistani business community in Karachi.
He added the delegation Houston City Council would be invited to participate in the platinum jubilee of Karachi City Council to expand the ties of trade and cultural with them.
