PPPP Punjab President Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that his party would not compromise with the present rulers and will continue its struggle for the cause of democracy in the country. While addressing the members of Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) here on Wednesday.
Qureshi said that PPPP always waged struggle for the rights of poor and oppressed people of the society. He said that present rulers have failed to resolve the problems confronted to the people of Pakistan. He said that people are facing unemployment, dearness and the worst law and order situation while rulers are leading luxurious life. He said rulers are also involved in corruption and increasing their assets by using all illegal means.
He said that PPPP is not against military rather it wants a strong military. He criticised Musharraf for handling national issues unilaterally. He further said that present assemblies have become rubber stamp. He said that PPPP had clear stance on the women protection bill and added that his party will support all the moves aimed at betterment of women.
He appreciated the struggle of bar and its members for the rival of constitution, strengthening of democracy and rule of law in the country. He added that PPPP is ready to join all the parties and institutions for the cause of democracy in the country.
