SCBA re-polling on December 18

The Executive Committee of Pakistan Bar Council has nominated Syed Qalb-e-Hasan as returning officer for the purpose of holding of re-polling of Supreme Court Bar Association's election scheduled to be held on December 18, 2006.
The election committee has been also constituted under rule 13 of SCBA rules 1989 to oversee the conduct of re-polling on December 18. The Election Committee comprised of former Justice Gul Zareen Kiani, Advocate from Rawalpindi, former Justice Amir Alam Khan, advocate from Lahore, Akhtar Ali Mehmood, advocate from Karachi, Zafar Abbas Zaidi, advocate from Peshawar and Raja Mohammad Afsar, advocate from Quetta.
The re-polling of vote for election for different offices/members of Executive Committee of SCBA would be held on the basis of the final list of eligible voters and the list of contesting candidates published by SCBA for purpose of polling earlier held on October 31, 2006.
Eight polling stations would be established for casting of votes by the voters at Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Bahawalpur, Abbotabad and Islamabad.
