Sindh mines, mineral department to sign MoUs on December 13

The provincial government would sign two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) on December 13 to expedite the development process in Sindh mines and mineral sector. Sources in the Mines and Mineral Department told Business Recorder on Monday that the provincial government would sign two MoUs on Wednesday.
The first MoU would be signed between Olympia Group of Companies (Pakistan) and Sindh Coal Authority while the other MoU would be between M/s Sinochem Hebel Corporation (China) and Mines and Mineral Development Department. Irfanullah Khan Marwat, Sindh Minister for Mines and Mineral Development would be the chief guest on the signing ceremony.
Sources said that the provincial government had speed up the process to unveil the hidden resources of Sindh and in this regard several companies had been invited to take part in the development process. Several local and international companies had shown interest to invest in Sindh particularly in coal identified areas, sources said.
