Lady Master Trainers

The first group of lady master trainers completed their four-week training on "Community empowerment through livestock development" at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Lahore on Monday.
The Institute of Continuing Education and Extension (ICE&E) of the university arranged a certificate-distribution ceremony at the UVAS seminar room on Monday, in which vice-chancellor Professor Dr Manzoor Ahmad and Nestle Pakistan Managing Director Ronald Decorvey distributed certificates among the participants.
The training workshop was arranged by the ICE&E in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Nestle Pakistan to train master trainers, who will work in rural areas across the country for training and development of rural women as lady livestock workers.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Manzoor said that the UVAS had developed collaboration with various government and private institutions for poverty alleviation through development of livestock sector. He urged the lady master trainers to be polite with the village women and impart them maximum knowledge and skills to improve their living standard.
