Shahid elected Sope president

Muhammad Shahid, Joint Secretary/Director General Projects Wing, Planning Commission has been elected as President Society of Pakistan Economists (Sope).
Other office-bearers elected include Vice President Raja Abdul Hameed, Economic Consultant M/O Food, Agriculture & Livestock, Secretary General Tariq Faheem Sheikh, Director, Pakistan Planning & Management Institute (PPMI), Joint Secretary Muhammad Latif, Assistant chief, Planning Commission, Information Secretary Nasar Iqbal, Deputy Chief, Ministry of Interior and Finance Secretary Salahuddin Qureshi, Chief, Planning Commission.
A 10-member Executive Council was also elected, which includes Sajida Nasir Malik, Deputy Chief P & D Division, Rana Umer, Deputy Secretary, M/O Industries, Production & Special Initiatives, Muhammad Javaid, Dy Chief, M/O Labour & Manpower, Muhammad Arshad Lodhi, Assistant Chief, M/O Commerce, Zufran Qasim, Assistant Chief, Economic Affairs Division, Absar Hassan Siddiqi, Assistant Economic Adviser, M/O Finance, Javaria Kokab Malik, Deputy Director, Planning Commission, Sohail Hanif, Deputy Director CDA, Zafar-ul-Hassan, Assistant Economic Adviser, M/O Finance and Imran Khan, Research Officer, Planning & Development Division.
