Monopoly Control Authority (MCA), headed by its Chairman Khalid A Mirza, held another hearing in the case of Nestle Pakistan Ltd (formerly Nestle Milkpak Ltd) here on Tuesday.
The Nestle's counsel submitted that in view of the changed circumstances they would like to submit a fresh reply to the Authority's Show Cause Notice in supersession of the reply submitted earlier.
The MCA has directed the counsel to submit their fresh response by December 18. It may be noted that MCA had issued notice to Nestle Pakistan for aggrandising to itself "unreasonable monopoly power and lessening competition in the bottled water market through inter alia the acquisition of three competitors and eliminating the 'AVA' brand from Lahore".
