Terming the cut of Rs 4 per litre on petrol and Rs 1 per litre on diesel Karachi transporters rejected it here on Tuesday and vowed for a countrywide struggle and protest for a proportional cut in oil prices according to international market rates.
According to details, Karachi Transport Ittehad President Syed Irshad Hussain Shah Bukhari, General Secretary Syed Mehmood Afridi and other office-bearers expressed dismay over rise of Rs 1 per litre in diesel price and termed it a cruel joke not only with transporter community but also whole nation. They said that the transporter community rejected this token cut and demanded from Ministry of Petroleum and Ogra to better withdraw this meagre raise.
