Egypt's GASC gets offers from 13 suppliers at wheat tender

ABU DHABI/CAIRO: Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC), received offers from 13 suppliers at its wheat tender on Thursday, Cairo-based traders said.

The lowest offer was for 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $192.25 a tonne free-on-board (FOB).

Results for the tender are due later on Thursday.

Traders said the following offers were made in dollars a tonne FOB:

- Louis Dreyfus: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $193.74

- Grainbow: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $192.25

- ECTP: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $193

- Daewoo: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $194.20

- Aston: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $194

- Olam: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $198.50

- AOS: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $194.94

- Glencore: 55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $192.99

- Alegrow: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $194

- ADM: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $196

- Cargill: 60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat at $195

- Cerealcom: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $194.74

- Nidera: 60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat at $196.59

- Cargill: 55,000 tonnes of US hard red winter at $197
