Muharram moon to be sighted today

The new moon is likely to be sighted today (Saturday), and Muharram 1, 1428 AH would fall on Sunday. According to astronomical parameters, there is very good chance of sighting the Muharram moon today. The moon crossed the conjunction line on Friday, at 0901 Pakistan Standard Time (PST).
The sunset today will be at 1808 PST, and the evening civil twilight (ECTL) will be at 1833 PST. The moon will set at 1929 PST. Thus the age of the new moon will be 33 hours and 32 minutes at ECTL. It will set 81 minutes after sunset and 56 minutes after ECTL.
At the time of ECTL the moon will be at an altitude of 10 degrees and 59 minutes and at an azimuth of 244 degrees and 31 minutes. The weather is expected to be partly cloudy.
