Metro Cash and Carry International coming to Pakistan

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz said Pakistan is improving the supply chain of daily use items and other products and hoped that with Metro Cash and Carry International coming to Pakistan government will achieve this objective.
Prime Minister was talking to Hans-Joachim Korber, Chairman and CEO Metro and Thomas M. Hubner CEO Metro Cash and Carry International, a leading international chain, here on the sidelines of annual meeting of World Economic Forum.
Hans-Joachim Korber and Thomas Hubner told the Prime Minister that they are optimistic that their stores will start functioning this year. Hans-Joachim Korber said goods sold at the Cash and Curry stores in Pakistan will also be exported. During his sideline meetings at the Forum, Robert E. Diamond President Barcklays UK also called on the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Aziz said Pakistan would welcome Barclays to start their operation in Pakistan, as it will benefit from the services of these leading financial institutions. Robert E. Diamond told Prime Minister that Barclays has decided to expand its operations and Pakistan is one destination in this new plan.
