Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) Sindh President Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Aga Siraj Durrani and Abdul Salam Thahim have refuted the statement of Awami Tehreek chief Rasool Bux Palijo, in which he said that founder leader of PPP Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had handed over six rivers of Pakistan to India, termed the statement baseless, false and concocted.
In a joint statement on Sunday, they said that in fact General Ayub Khan had handed over the six rivers to India and added that Rasool Bux Palijo was putting cover on the real fact because he was ashamed of blaming Ayub Khan.
The PPP leaders said that Rasool Bux Palijo had started a campaign to malign Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto but he would not succeed in his nefarious designs. They said that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's struggle for the development and prosperity of country was an exemplary and he even sacrificed his life for the welfare of the masses.
