District accounts offices to be computerised across Sindh: Accountant General

District Accounts Offices across the province will be computerised which will enable quick disbursement of salaries to the employees. This was stated by Accountant General Sindh, Zulfiqar Ali Qadri while talking to the Officers at District Accounts Office, Qambar, according to a statement received on Sunday.
EDOs and DOs of various district departments were also present. The Accountant General Sindh said after completion of the computerisation process, the employees will be issued pay-slips instead of cross cheques and will be able to draw salaries from their banks.
He said during the last year the District Accounts Offices of Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur and Larkana were computerised. The process is in final stages of completion at the offices in Khairpur and Dadu districts.
The District Accounts Office, Qambar will be computerised by June this year, he added.
Zulfiqar Ali Qadri said a new system is also being introduced under which DCOs and district nazims will, receive copies of accounts reports on daily basis.
