Grain exports from the French port of Rouen totalled 532,720 tonnes for January 1-24, comprising 506,370 tonnes of wheat and 26,350 tonnes of barley, port officials said on Monday.
Grain exports in the whole of January last year totalled 536,000 tonnes, comprising 496,000 tonnes of wheat and 40,000 tonnes of barley. Officials said three vessels were in port on Monday, loading 53,000 tonnes of wheat for Algeria and Tunisia, and 43,000 tonnes of barley for Saudi Arabia. Another vessel was expected by January 31 to load 27,500 tonnes of wheat for an unspecified destination.
