Sindh Minister for Local Government, Katchi Abadies and Spatial Development Muhammad Hussain Khan has said that minorities have played a significant role in the development of the country in general and Sindh province in particular.
This, he said while talking to a delegation of Cutchi Maheshwari Meghwar Panchayat, a prominent Hindu organisation, led by Raju Ghuri, president of the panchayat at his office on Thursday.
He said that present government believes in servicing the masses without any discrimination of religion, cast, creed or language.
He said all towns of Karachi have been provided equal amount for development projects in water and sewerage sectors. An allocation of Rs 9.5 million for each union council has also been made available to strengthen them, he added. Muhammad Hussain Khan said City Nazim and Town Nazims were personally monitoring the pace of progress of various development schemes in their respective jurisdiction. Their frequent visits and surprise inspections have resulted in timely completion of uplift projects, besides ensuring quality of work, he stated.
Minister assured the delegation that their problems of water, sanitation and roads would be solved gradually and according to the priority.
Raju Ghuri thanked the minister for his interest in the problems confronted by them. He assured the minister full co-operation from his organisation.
