The rupee managed to hold its overnight levels against the dollar in the interbank market on Friday for buying and selling at 60.74 and 60.75, respectively. In the world markets, the dollar showed firmness against the leading currencies, they said.

On the contrary, the rupee lost 10 paisa against pound sterling, as the pound was purchased at Rs 119.10 and sold at Rs 119.40 against Rs 119.00 and Rs 119.30 of Thursday, dealers added.
Pound Sterling opened at Rs 119.20 (buying) and Rs 119.40 (selling) against same previous rate. It did not witness any change by the end of second session and closed at Rs 119.20 (buying) and Rs 119.40 (selling).
