According to a news item, MMA President Qazi Hussain Ahmed has declared that he is resigning from his post. I think it is a good idea because he has failed both as a religious leader and as a politician.
He should not go back on his decision now as Allah in His Book says; "do what you say". Politicians usually do the drama of announcing a resignation and then withdrawing it 'under great pressure from the party'. About time that stopped.
