36 schools to be upgraded

As many as 36 schools in the metropolis would be upgraded as the `model' ones. This was stated by an official of the Education Department of the City District Government Karachi (CDGK) while talking to APP.
The proposal for the model schools has been put forward by the Nazim of Karachi, Syed Mustafa Kamal, it was pointed out.
The scheme would materialise by June next and this would include schools from Montessori up to Matric level. A school each for boys and girls would be chosen in each of the 18 towns in the metropolis.
They would be provided with all the required facilities including subject specialists, science and computer labs, teachers training centre, gymnasium.
The Government of Sindh as well as the CDGK would make available the funds for this very project. The teachers to be involved in this project would also be imparted the required training before June.
